The GSF Foundation operates through 24 local committees across the U.S., and last year alone those committees collectively donated more than $1.4 million in grants to local nonprofit organizations that benefit children and families in the areas where GSF associates live and work.
The funds are raised by GSF associates through individual involvement and contributions, with as many as 80 percent of GSF’s associates actively engaged in the Foundation. Last year, those funds impacted 169 local nonprofits, including 45 individual Ronald McDonald House Charities!
“The GSF Foundation committees across the country are making deep, lasting impacts in the areas of childhood hunger, homelessness, illness, education, and the general welfare of their communities through these grants,” said Tess McAnena, Programs and Development Manager for the National GSF Foundation. “It’s incredible to see the difference our people can make when they come together and support causes close to their hearts.”
All of the organizations that received a grant in 2018 were selected and sponsored by individuals across GSF. This ensures the funds donated always go to nonprofits that associates feel a personal connection or calling to support.
