During National Volunteer Month in April, the GSF Foundation (GSFF) celebrates the caring efforts and dedication of GSF associates who give of their time and talent in making a difference and improving the lives of those within their local communities. Since the Foundation’s inception in 2002, associates have collectively volunteered more than 300,000 service hours through GSFF activities and in other community involvement. As an associate-run-and-funded nonprofit, the GSF Foundation encourages volunteerism to get associates involved in giving back together as one team, in addition to community volunteering beyond GSFF.
Earlier this year, the GSF Foundation honored Quality Custom Distribution (QCD) associates in Frisco, Texas with the Outstanding Volunteer Engagement Award for engaging the highest percentage of associates in volunteering among all 32 local GSFF Committees nationwide in 2023. The QCD Frisco GSF Foundation team organized numerous volunteer activities, such as stocking, sorting, and distributing donations in a local food pantry; cooking meals for families staying at the local Ronald McDonald House; and organizing fundraisers to support the Committee’s donations.

Throughout the year, the GSF Foundation champions volunteerism, programs, and donations that lift up children and families in the communities where GSF associates live and work. From Bike Building, Pedal to Perfection, and Best Foot Forward, to Back(pack) to School, Focus on Food, and Coats for Kids, GSFF makes a difference through core programs that provide life’s essentials to those most in need.
