On Monday, November 2nd, GSF Irvine associates gathered at the Orange County Ronald McDonald House in Orange to prepare a dinner for residents of the house. Shirley Schaal, John Page, Lourdes Smith and her husband Steve Smith, Jeanne Teves and her son, Ian Teves, and Jeanne’s niece, Abigail Aguilar were in attendance, and prepared a delicious warm meal of beef stew, steamed rice, corn bread, and salad.
The team started cooking the beef stew in the morning to be sure everything was just right for the early evening meal, and although the dinner was served to only a handful of residents, the team still felt happy to help. Lourdes Smith recently found that she knows someone who had benefited from the services that the RMHC houses offer. Keeping this in mind, Lourdes is more than happy to be part of the RMHC meals, “because you never know who you will be helping.”
