How Teamwork and Creativity Drive Greater Community Impact

Giving back isn’t just good for the community; it’s a powerful way to build stronger teams, foster new partnerships, and make a meaningful difference together. Across our Foundation Committees, associates find creative and collaborative ways to support those in need. Here are three inspiring examples of how teamwork is turning generosity into impact:
Volunteering as Team Building
At QCD Frisco, Texas, volunteering has become a cornerstone of team bonding. Throughout the year, various departments sign up for shifts at Ronald McDonald House Dallas, where they prepare and serve meals for families staying at the House. The experience not only brings associates together, but also provides consistent, hands-on support to an organization making a real difference for families during difficult times.
Gamify Supply Drives
Nothing fuels friendly competition like a good cause. At GSF Irvine, California, departments have gone head-to-head in collecting the most canned goods during food drive challenges. These fun and engaging competitions have led to generous donations, all while boosting morale and team spirit. Whether it’s filling backpacks with school supplies or stocking pantries, a little gamification can go a long way.
Collaborating for Bigger Impact
Leverage the power of partnership to multiply your impact. Committees from GSF Opelika, Alabama and Conyers, Georgia have joined forces to host an annual golf tournament, raising significant funds to support their local communities. QCD Charlotte, North Carolina partners with Rack Room Shoes, headquartered in the same city, to give local kids a shopping spree, letting them pick out their favorite new shoes for the school year.
When we come together, our collective generosity becomes a force for good. Whether it’s through volunteer service, friendly donation competitions, or creative partnerships, these efforts prove that giving back is always better when done together.
