The GSF Foundation Welcomes New Executive Director, Tess McAnena

The GSF Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of our new Executive Director, Tess McAnena! A GSF associate since February 2016, most recently Tess was responsible for the oversight of several core programs, including the effort to combat childhood hunger in our communities. Tess graduated from Loyola Marymount University and Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, and has lived in Orange County since she was a child. An attorney by trade, Tess has served in a number of legal and marketing positions, coupling her skills for law and business to provide thoughtful and creative solutions for the organization.

“I’m so honored to serve and represent the GSF Foundation, the associates, and our communities,” said Tess. “I’m motivated going into 2019 continuing the mission and strategic plan for the Foundation, with a special focus on engagement at all levels of the organization. Engaged associates are happy associates, and happy associates want to give back. We have the potential to provide even more to our communities in need this year, and I can’t wait to get started!”

As the Executive Director, Tess will oversee all operations for the Foundation, including strategic planning, fundraising, organizational management, and collaborate with internal and external partners.

“Having worked for the GSF Foundation for the past three years, Tess brings the knowledge and insights needed to take our Foundation and associate engagement to the next level,” says John Page, corporate vice president and chief legal and CSR officer for GSF. “She is uniquely suited for this role, as she is not only passionate about the mission of the Foundation, but she also brings special skillsets in the areas of legal and marketing that have already benefited the Foundation tremendously.”
